Welcome to the City of Lake Mary Finance Department. First and foremost our focus is the fiscal well-being of our City through accounting, asset and budget management services for the various City Departments, and for the preparation of financial reports for the use of the City Manager, City Commission and regulatory agencies. This division is also responsible for other functions including short and long-term financial investments, payroll, purchasing, utility billing, customer service, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

In addition, Finance is responsible for the Information Technology (IT) throughout City Government which includes maintaining and upgrading the various computer systems. Other responsibilities include a local area network on an Ethernet backbone, a wide area network utilizing Cisco routers for the Building and Life Safety Division, two AS400's, several Windows 2000 servers, some 100 desktop and more than 30 laptop computers. Information Technology not only maintains the systems at City Hall, but also the Police Department which includes the 911 center. They also are responsible for the City's website.

New technology for the City includes fiber connectivity between not only City Hall and the Police Department, but the Seminole County Sheriff's office which, in turn, provides mobile data computing for patrol units using the latest Cellular Data Packet Data (C.D.P.D.) and Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite technology. This provides a linkage between the Lake Mary Police Department and the State of Florida's CJNet, giving officers the ability to access the latest Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) information.
