Community Risk Reduction

Community Risk Reduction - Protecting Our Community Through Prevention

The Community Risk Reduction (CRR) program is dedicated to enhancing public safety by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across our community. Through proactive prevention efforts, CRR focuses on reducing all hazards, strengthening emergency preparedness, and promoting overall life safety.

Through data-driven analysis, public education, and strategic partnerships, the Community Risk Reduction (CRR) program works to prevent emergencies before they occur.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prevention & Education – Conducts community outreach programs, school visits, and public safety campaigns.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation – Identifies high-risk populations, analyzes incident data, and develops targeted safety initiatives.
  • Code Enforcement Support – Works with the Fire Marshal to ensure compliance with fire and life safety codes.
  • Emergency Preparedness – Assists in disaster planning, evacuation drills, and community preparedness strategies.
  • Collaboration & Outreach – Partners with businesses, schools, and local organizations to implement safety programs.

Why It Matters: Emergency response is vital—but prevention is powerful.

From fires and medical calls to hazardous conditions and rescue operations, Community Risk Reduction ensures that both responders and the community are better prepared, informed, and protected, with the goal to improve outcomes, and save lives.
